Have you seen the new Keepsake Quilting Catalog? On page 41 are some yummy Double Pinks that I would love to purchase for the Dear Jane Quilt that I will be making in Pinks and Chocolate Browns. But I am gong to restrain myself and try to use up what I currently have first.
This week I sent 18.5 yards of fabric from my stash to my Mom. She and a group of ladies are making quilts for school children in Africa. So even though I did not personally use it, the fabric is getting used up for a great cause.
Used this week: 18.5
Used YTD: 29.0
Purchased this week: 0 yards
Purchased YTD: 9.25
Net Fabric Used in 2011: 20.25
Check out more Stash Reports at Patchwork Times! Have a great week!
Giving fabric for others to use is a great way to use your stash. Using the fabric is the goal so by giving it to others you ARE achieving your goal.
ReplyDeleteWay to go...giving it away is a GREAT way to use up stash!
ReplyDeleteWell that's one way to reduce your STASH! For this 8th week of reporting in 2011 you are doing terrific! Sandi
ReplyDeletegreat way to trim you stash--you sent fabric you probably don't need, and they get some to use--a win-win deal! Stash busting has taught me only to buy fabric I will use now. Lots easier to plan quilts than it is to sew them. Hold out on purchases until you're ready to start.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. I need some double pinks. Just as soon as I'm in the black. hehehe
ReplyDeleteThat was so nice of you to donate fabric for a good cause.
