Design Wall Monday May 30, 2011
In honor of Memorial Day and all those who have lost their lives to defend our Country and our Freedoms, I thought I would share a few of the Patriotic Quilts that I have made over the years.
This week I am working on the scrappy blocks below. I started them on vacation and have finished 45. I only have 68 more to go. What is on your Design Wall this week??

Sunday Stash Report May 29, 2011
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Hope you are all enjoying the long weekend and have something fun planned.
I did not post last week, as I was on vacation. I spent some great time with my family up in the Sacramento area and attended the Frog Jumping Contest at the Calavares County Fair in Angeles Camp, CA. Here I am with one of the contestants, and no, I did not touch it!!!
Here is my report for this week. I finished the Sugar Plum Stars- will post the picture later this week. Did hit Cozy Quilts for a Sharon Craig lecture and picked up a couple of fabrics that I could not live without. All in all, I am still ahead for the year.
Used this week: 8 yards
Used YTD: 141 yards.
Purchased this week: 6 yards.
Purchased YTD: 37 yards.
Net Fabric Used in 2011: 104 yards.

Design Wall Monday May 16, 2011
Happy Monday to All!
I am making progress on the Sugar Plum Stars UFO. I have to sew the center together and then add the borders. Should go fast and hope to get finished this week.
I have also finally finished the first clue for the Quiltmaker Mystery Quilt. The next step is to be released somewhere around May 30th. So far, I like how it is turning out. It is not to late to start if you want to join in!
See what everyone else is working on at Patchwork Times.

Sunday Stash Report May 15, 2011
I am a little late posting today, mostly because I have nothing new to report. Nothing in and Nothing out. So here are the numbers:
Used this week: 0 yards.
Used YTD: 133.0 yards.
Purchased this week: 0 yards.
Purchased YTD: 31 yards.
Net Fabric Used in 2011: 102.0 yards.
This weekend I worked on my Sugar Plum Stars UFO. I have the center 4-patches done and started working on all the Snowball blocks that form the star points.
This is one of the snowball blocks and using a tip from Bonnie Hunter, I sewed a second seam about 3/8" away, trimmed, and had a whole bunch of 2" half square triangles to use somewhere down the line in another project. I hate to waste beautiful batik fabrics! Below are the finished Snowball blocks and all the bonus half square triangle pieces.
I am really liking how this quilt is coming together. Will share more pictures later this week!

Design Wall Monday May 9, 2011
This week I am working on the Sugar Plum Stars UFO for May. I have finished all the cutting and have sewn together the first step, which are the nine patches below. This quilt should go together fast, though there are two scrappy borders that will require a little time to put together.
I will also try to get to Step One of the Mystery Quilt with Quiltmaker Magazine. Have all the fabrics picked out just need to cut and sew.
What is on your design wall this week?
