Design Wall Monday

Not much of a change on my design wall this week. Still working on Pearls Quilt, sewing down all the circles. I have one more row to do. Thought I would share another project that I have been working on: Putting labels on all my quilts.

Quilts needing labels
I had a number of older quilts, mostly small ones that needed labels. I have finally had the time to go through them all and make labels. On my labels, I will put the name of quilt, size, and date made, adding the month if I can remember. I will also put a picture of the original quilt and the name of the pattern designer. With some of my older quilts I could not remember the exact date made, so I guessed. I also did not have pattern designers for some of them.

Above is the label program that I have been using for a long time to label my quilts. I do not think it is available through HP anymore, but you can find on Ebay.

Labels made up and ready to cut down and sew. I get 4 per page and use EQ Printables fabric sheets, satin 283 thread count. I have found that these work the best and hold up when washing your quilt.

Have a great week!

  1. Agree on the label fabric sheets. They are terrific. The film back comes off in the best way. Sounds like you have all the information covered. All these get the Santee, CA address! Sandi
