Design Wall Monday

 As 2020 winds down this week, I will be finishing up a couple of projects, and looking forward to the first announcement of 2021 UFO with American Patchwork and Quilting UFO Challenge. My list is ready to go and I will be posting this week.

On the design wall are two more blocks for Vintate Christmas. One more complete below.

Sunday Stash Report

Last Stash Report for 2020! 

It has been a busy year for quilting, with 22 quilts completed. That is a record for me.  I longarmed quilted almost 100 quilts, which included 35 of my own. This coming year I hope to get caught up with my backlog, which is about 30 more to quilt.

No finishes this week, other than a few blocks completed. Below are two of the Heart and Hand applique group blocks. Two more to finish by the 31st.

Also completed were 3 of the 6 blocks for Vintage Christmas. I will also be working on cutting out pieces for Clue 5 of Grassy Creek Mystery.

So, nothing added and nothing finished for the last Stash Report for 2020. A fresh start for 2021 will start next Sunday. Have a great rest of 2020 this week.

The rest of this week I will be working to finish up clue 4 of Bonnie Hunter's mystery Grassy Creek. Pieces are cut and ready for sewing, which is my plan for Christmas Eve. Next Clue will be on Saturday.

Only additions this week. On trip to SD to see my daughters and grandkids to celebrate an early christmas, I was able to go to Rosies Calico Quilt Shop. I found a couple of things that will be used in UFO's for 2021. My 2021 UFO list is almost complete and will be posted next week.

Design Wall Monday

Not too much on the Design Wall this week. I have finished the third clue for Grassy Creek and will be waiting for the next clue coming up this Friday.

I am thinking I may start my new block of the month from Stitchin Heaven, called Vintage Christmas by Lori Holt. This month I recievec the frist 6 blocks.

I am excited to get started on this one. It should be a pretty fun and hopefully on the easy side. It will go for the next 10 months and should be ready by next Christmas. Have a great week!

 No finishes this week, but the second clue is finished for Grassy Creek. I am making mine a bit smaller so will only do half of the units for now. Clue 3 is cut out and ready to sew.

I had to take my sewing machine for a little TLC to The Bernina Connection, and while I was there picked up some reds and backgrounds for the Heart Table runners I will be working on next.

 A finish to report this week! Magic Mariners Compass is complete. I only used nine blocks instead of the 25 that were called for, and have a couple extra that will go on the back.

I really like the way it turned out. This was my second to last UFO for 2020. I still have one big one to complete, Prairie Star, by Judy Niemeyer. Most likely this Project will carry over to 2021. I am also starting to get together the list for 2021 and will be playing along with American Patchwork and Quilting's UFO challenge. You can check it out here.

 This week, while I wait for the next clue for Grassy Creek, I am hoping to finish up Magic Mariners Compass. All but center block is finished and starting on border units. This was made from scraps from my stash, so tring to piece it all together.
