Design Wall Monday

Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all who have served!

Winter Blues in Black remains on the desing wall this week, but I am pushing to get it finished by the end of the week. 

I have also pulled out the next blocks for Autumn Love. I will be working on finishing blocks for April, and then May blocks. I have also pulled out blocks to prep for June as it is only days away. April blocks below are Autumn words and 4 harvest star blocks.

 Hope you are enjoying a long holiday weekend! Nothing added to the stash this week and nothing finished. Still working on Winter blues in black and I am sewing rows together. I did finish all the border units, but still need to cut and sew them into the border strips. Still a ways to go for a finish!

Design Wall

 Still working on the center of Winter Blues. Sewing all these 4" blocks together is taking some time. In between I am sewing the border units together. Hope to get this completed soon!

On the Longarm is Sandi's Michigan quilt, aka Koastline. Have just the leaves to finish up and then it will be off to her next week.

Sunday Stash Report.

 Finished this week were the Microwave bowls that are on their way to Debra.

This block was completed for our BOM for my Longarm quilt group that meets on the third Saturday.

I also made two on the blocks below for Quilts of Valor. My longarm group will be putting together a  couple of quilts for vetrans in the next couple of months.

Design Wall Monday

 This week I will be working on the Winter Blues in black quilt. Blocks needing to be sewn together in rows and then sewing the rows together will complete the center. Borders will be up next. Always a lot to keep me busy in my sewing room.

 Hooray a finish this week that will put me back in the black! Shoo Fly was completed and is ready for quilting.

This quilt was started in 2019 with scrappy blocks, and was a Leader ender project from Bonnie Hunter. I made 180, 4.5" blocks  while working on other projects during the year.  It will have a scrappy back and will be placed in my quilting que. On to finishing Winter Blues.

Design Wall Monday

 This week I will be finishing up my Shoo Fly quilt and working on more Microwave bowls. These are for Deborah, one of my quilting friends from San Diego.

Shoo Fly just needs borders, just deciding on what color to use for border. Thinking of either a pink or a purple. After this is complete, I will be back to working on the Black and White quilt for my sister Leigh.

On the longarm this week is my Dresden plate quilt that was finsihed awhile back. This is more of a custom job and I am finally getting to it, inbetween some charity quilts.

In San Diego this weekend visiting my Kids, Grandkids and Sandi. Nice to be in town, if only for a few days. Not much quilting getting done and nothing added to the Stash. Made a little progess on Shoo Fly quilt, getting a little closer to a finish.

Shoo Fly is still on my Design wall. Pushing to get it put together before I leave on my trip to San Diego tomorrow. This is the quilt that will never get finished!

On the longarm this week is Scrappy Blues. It is nice to have another of mine done and ready for binding.
