Sunday Stash Report

 Last day of July and then into August. This week finds me a bit under the weather, and we had to postpone our trip to Alaska. Thank goodness our hosts and the airline were flexible.

Blocks are going together and hopefully will be able to get to sewing rows together soon.

Nothing finished and nothing added to the stash, but work is progressing on Flowers for my wedding ring.

Design Wall Monday

 No quilting on my design wall this week! Still up in Arnold where we took the kids to Beaver Creek. It was a bit smoky from the fire that was burning near Yosemite. But we still had a great time. This is one of my favorite places and is located in Big Trees Stat Park. We had it all to ourselves.

Below is all that I worked on this week, a bit of appliquie and one more block of Autumn Love complete!

Back home on Wednesday. Will see what I can get to later this week.

Sunday Stash Report

This weeks report finds me on vacation in beautiful Arnold CA, enjoying some family time. We took the kids to Murphy's and the creek, where they had a great time splashing around!

Charity Quilt

This week will be a short week sewing for me. I am off to visit family in Sacramento on Thursday. I will be working on the charity quilt above, along with cutting a few more charity kits for our sew in later in August.

More rings.

 I will also be working on continuing to sew the rings for my Wedding Ring quilt. It will be a busy week for me. Enjoy your Monday!

Sunday Stash Report.

Kings River

Back from our extended road trip and back to some sewing this week. We spent some time in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks befrore returning home on Friday.

Roaring River Falls

We hiked to Roaring River Falls, and spent some time in Meadow and saw one of the largest Sequoia's in the park. the General Grant tree in Kings Canyon.

Next up, we spent time in Sequoia National Park. A lot of driving on winding roads, with many hairpin curves. We hiked up Morro Rock and walked a path around a meadow surrounded by giant Sequoia's.

Twin Lakes

 Today I am in Mammoth Lakes, CA celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. Mammoth is the location that we got married.

We took a hike to Rainbow falls and had a great dinner at the Mogul Resturant to celebrate.

 Not much sewing getting done on this trip, just a bit of hand sewing below.

We are on the road for the rest of this week, headed to Visalia, and Kings Canyon and Seqouia National Parks. We will head through Yosemite to get there. Should be a beautiful drive.

Sunday Stash Report

Parker Lake

 This week, DH and I are on a road trip and in Mammoth Lakes CA. We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary on Monday. We took a hike to Parker Lake, which is about 5 miles roundtrip. It is a beautiful trail that goes along the river, through aspen groves and up to the lake wich is fed by a glacier.

Afterward, we stopped a June Lake Brewery for some tacos and beer. 

Not much sewing done this week and no additions to the stash, as there were not any quilt shops on the way that I could get to, Enjoy your week!

On the Design Wall this week is still the Wedding Ring Quilts. Melon sections below are finished and I will bw working on the next set of Rings. This is a pretty labor intensive quilt, but I am liking the results so far.

Stash Report

Nothing added this week and nothing finished. Just a lot of works in progress. These blocks are the first 12 that have been made for a charity quilt. More blocks to be made later this month. 

QOV blocks also completed this week and will be turned in at my next Longarm Quilt meeting on the 16th.
