Happy last day of April- the year is flying by!

Nothing finished this week, but I did so some prepping. Above is block #2 for Vintage Valentine all prepped and ready for hand sewing. This week I will prep #3 to be all caught up.

Also ready for sewing, is the first of two quilts for my grandnieces. Hope to make some progress on this one.

Also cut out this week were some of my 2.5" strips for a crooked courthouse step charity project. I hope to make a couple of these this year to use up my overflowing stash of 2.5" strips. I will take this on Tuesday to my sewing group to work on.

Nothing added to the stash this week, so no change in the numbers.

Design Wall

After my retreat last week, I have added a few more blocks to my Dear Hannah. I will be finishing up on more applique blocks this week to fill in some of the holes. This will be a work in progress for awhile, still have a lot of blocks to go.

 I was looking for a couple of easier projects this week, so I will be starting on quilts for my grandniece's, Charlotte and Maize. The first one will be this simple quilt out of Lori Holt fabrics. I will be cutting this one out, along with cutting out a crooked courthouse steps for charity. Always a lot to keep me busy. How about you?

Back home from San Antonio, after a great time in Texas. It always goes by too fast. I was able to finish 20 more blocks above for my Dear Hannah quilt. Still have many more to go. It is definately a journey!

A trip to Quilt Haus while in San Antonio, blew the fabric diet! I found this cute pin fabric, some more grunge, balarina's for a quilt for my grandniece, and some hard to find shirtings.

We all had a great time in Texas and can't wait for next year!

Necombe Ranch

 Yesterday was a travel day for me. In San Antonio Texas at Necombe Ranch for the Dear Jane Cowgirl Retreat. I will be working on my Dear Hannah Quilt blocks and hope to get a few completed along with the blocks I have been prepping for the last month.

Autumn Love was a finish this week and checked off the UFO list.

Next up will be courthouse charity quilts.

I am off to Texas tomorrow for the Dear Jane Round up. Looking forward to a week of quilting, eating and socializing.

Design Wall Monday

 

Autumn Love is back on the design wall this week! All the blocks are complete and I will hopefully have this put together and finished by the end of the week. Next up will be cutting pieces for a scrappy courtyard steps pattern. This is my next UFO and will be a charity quilt. 

More prepping will happen with the next installment of Vintage Valentine. Busy week for me! How about you?

Happy Easter! Hope you are enjoying your day with family and friends.

The blocks above were completed for my guild. We were given the fabric and asked to make a 12" block adding only white on white fabric. The blocks will be collected and used to make charity quilts. I was able to make three blocks with the fabric provided.

No adds to the stash and nothing finished. Working on the last of Autumn Love this week. Cross your fingers, I may get it done this week.

This week I am working on an undercover project as gifts for all the ladies at our upcoming retreat. Check back later this month and I will share what I have made.

First up on the Longarm this week are some placemats that Sandi made in a workshop. They turned out great and will be quilted with a halloween design. Next up will be Sandi's challenge quilt for Sunshine Quilt Guild. I will not be sharing this, cause it is underwraps until May!

Happy April! 

It sure dosn't feel like spring as it has been cold and windy here in the desert! I am still prepping blocks for my Dear Jane Retreat coming up later this month. Above are the latest 4. I have 14 done with many more to go, but I am going to stop here. I will have plenty to keep me busy and can always do a few more while I am there.
